Dental implants in Leavenworth, KS
We place the implant and fit the final crown here at our Shawnee Street office, so you stay with the same team from the first appointment to the last rather than being sent across town partway through.
Not sure an implant is the right answer for you? That is exactly what a consultation is for.
A conversation and an examination, so you leave knowing what your actual options are and what each one would involve.
An implant is not the right answer for everyone, and we will say so if a bridge, a denture or simply leaving the gap alone would serve you better.
Tell us a little about the tooth or teeth you are missing and we will call you back to talk it through. To speak to someone now, call (913) 651-2115.
We use what you send here only to contact you about an appointment. Please do not include detailed medical information in this form.
At a lot of practices the implant is placed by one person and the crown is fitted by another, at a different address, months apart. That is not how it works here.
Dr. Warya places the implant and fits the final crown. Nobody hands your case over halfway through, and there is no second practice to coordinate with.
Because the surgical and restorative parts happen in the same building, you are not driving to a second office for the appointments in between.
We explain what you need, why you need it, and what it will cost before treatment starts, so you are deciding with the numbers in front of you.
Implants need enough healthy bone and settled gums. If that is not where you are today, we will tell you what would need to happen first.
Where a case genuinely calls for an outside specialist, Dr. Warya will say so plainly and help arrange it rather than stretching beyond what we do well.
Cleanings, fillings, crowns, gum treatment and the rest all happen here, so the implant is looked after as part of everything else.
An implant is a small post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. A crown is then fitted on top of it, and that is the part you see and chew with.
Because the implant supports its own crown, the healthy teeth either side are left alone rather than being filed down to carry a bridge across the gap.
That is the difference between an implant and the alternatives, and it is why the jawbone is involved and why healing takes the time it does.
There are several ways to approach a larger gap, and which one suits you depends on your own jaw and gum health. Call and we will go through the options with you.
Implant treatment is spread over months rather than weeks, mostly because healing cannot be hurried. Here is the shape of it.
We examine the area, take digital x-rays, and talk through whether an implant is realistic for you, along with the alternatives.
The post is placed into the jawbone under local anesthetic. Most people find this more straightforward than they expected.
The bone needs to bond to the implant before anything is loaded onto it. This takes a few months and is the part that cannot be rushed.
Once it has healed, the final crown is made and fitted here, matched to your existing teeth. That is the appointment where it starts to feel normal again.
General dentist
Dr. Warya earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. She provides general, family, cosmetic and restorative dentistry at our Leavenworth office, and places and restores dental implants here rather than referring that work out.
She believes patients make better decisions when the reasoning is explained clearly rather than assumed, which with implants usually means walking through the alternatives properly before anyone commits to anything.
A few minutes from Fort Leavenworth. We see patients from across Leavenworth County and from the Missouri side of the river.
