This policy explains what Family Dental Care collects through this website and how we handle it. It is separate from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which covers your dental record and is governed by HIPAA. If the two ever conflict on health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices governs.
What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address and anything you write in an appointment request or message.
- Limited health context. If you tell us what is bothering you when requesting an appointment. Please do not send detailed medical history through the website, as email and web forms are not secure.
- Technical information. Your IP address, browser and device type, and operating system.
- Usage information. Which pages you visited, how you arrived, and how long you stayed.
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
- To respond to you and to schedule or confirm appointments
- To answer questions you send us
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own marketing.
- Service providers. Our website host, form provider and analytics provider, each only to the extent needed to run the site.
- When the law requires it. In response to lawful process or to protect our rights.
- If the practice changes hands. Records may transfer as part of the practice, subject to the same protections.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Details are in our cookie policy, including how to turn them off in your browser.
How long we keep it
Website enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of the contact. Information that becomes part of your dental record is kept for at least 10 years after your last date of service, as Kansas dental regulations require.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or email is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive health details through a web form or email. Call (913) 651-2115 instead.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information online from anyone under 13. A parent or guardian should make appointment requests on a child's behalf.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, subject to our record-keeping obligations
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in that email
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them
- Control cookies through your browser settings
For anything in your dental record, the rights in our Notice of Privacy Practices apply and are broader.

If we change this policy we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
